West Path Delivery Project

TC Energy Corporation (TC Energy) announced November 1, 2019, details regarding the West Path Delivery Program, a combined $1.2 billion expansion of its NOVA Gas Transmission Ltd. (LGTD) and Foothills Systems. This project will connect with the recently announced GTN Xpress Project, further enhancing the connection of the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin (WCSB) to high value downstream markets.

Russ Girling, President and Chief Executive Officer of TC Energy noted, “This $1.2 billion program brings our sanctioned expansions of NGTL and Foothills infrastructure to $10 billion, demonstrating our strong commitment to the long-term viability of the WCSB.”

Reinforced by new firm services contracts with terms that exceed 30 years, commencing late 2022, through 2023, the West Path Delivery Program will see $1.2 billion invested into approximately 119 km of pipeline and associated facilities.

Pending receipt of regulatory approvals, construction is expected to commence as early as fourth quarter 2021, with applications for approvals to construct and operate facilities expected to be filed in 2020.
