PAPC Breaks Ground in Western Canada
In 2018 Coastal GasLink (CGL) selected PLCAC regular member, Pacific Atlantic Pipeline Construction Ltd. (PAPC), the Canadian subsidiary of Bonatti Group, to construct approximately 165 kilometers of their project (namely, sections 6 and 7). In selecting their prime contractors, Coastal GasLink had sought out highly qualified companies that met CGL’s core principles for safety, environmental stewardship and stakeholder engagement. PAPC’s ongoing commitment to safety will be at the forefront of every step of executing this opportunity in a new market. Alike the PLCAC’s safety expectations, PAPC’s commitment to “Safety First” will trump all else through the construction of this extraordinary project.
PAPC strives to maximize the participation of Indigenous and local communities in the project. They have been working to provide opportunities to local suppliers, educating them on the capacity, the training and employment requirements needed for a project of this magnitude.
Jagat Pandya, Human Resources Business Partner noted: “The socioeconomic summits have been very successful in terms of allowing us to connect with local businesses and available labor pool. Through these events, we’ve been able to help people understand what we need in terms of services and skill sets to match opportunities with available positions and contracts on the project.”
PAPC will leverage the international expertise and experience of Bonatti Group to successfully execute projects in Canada in a safe manner to achieve long term growth. “Our community focused approach will also ensure that we are a net positive contributing member towards the development and growth of the communities in which we operate.”
