Education and Training Committee

The Education and Training Committee monitors, advises and responds to skills and workforce capacity issues and priorities necessary for a vibrant, sustainable Canadian pipeline service and supply sector.

The Committee, through consultation with PLCAC members and affiliated unions, determine the appropriate training needs to keep the industry at the forefront of innovation and compliance. The Committee monitors skills requirements and issues and liaises with stakeholders on coordinating, implementing and evaluating the most appropriate responses to skill and human capability requirements. Members may also arrange for equipment, materials and course instructors; comment on the suitability of course content to current and emergent industry needs and help coordinate course management and administrative functions.
