PLCAC donates $50,000 on behalf of members in support of the Calgary Flood Rebuilding Fund

On October 22, 2013, PLCAC donated $50,000 dollars on behalf of members to the Calgary Foundation’s Flood Rebuilding Fund. Following the devastating Southern Alberta Floods that affected many people with the loss of homes, property, and displacement, the Calgary Foundation created a Flood Rebuilding Fund to support Calgary and area charities in long-term community rebuilding efforts.  “We represent members from across the country and want to do our part to assist the many groups helping the community rebuild itself.  We hope our donation can make a positive and enduring impact,” said Neil Lane, PLCAC Executive Director.

Established in 1955, the Calgary Foundation facilitates collaborative philanthropy by connecting donors and community organizations for the benefit of Calgary and surrounding area.
