CPAC Meets with TransCanada to Discuss Energy East Project

Representatives of CPAC and
TransCanada in Fredricton NB

In a second round of meetings held on March 11 in Fredericton, NB, representatives from the Canadian Pipeline Advisory Council met with representatives from TransCanada to discuss the project and how contractors and their union partners can assist on this project given the amount of jobs and opportunity it represents for Canadians in the trades. Given the immense size of the project, CPAC looks forward to working with TransCanada on future initiatives and on building the pipeline as it integrates communities and businesses across many provinces from Alberta to the Atlantic.

CPAC is a co-operative joint labour/management group of senior pipeline craft union representatives and officers of the PLCAC. The Council meets to discuss issues that affect the pipeline construction industry and work together to foster better relations with industry stakeholders.
