CPAC Meets with Enbridge Representatives

On September 10, members of the Canadian Pipeline Advisory Council met with representatives of Enbridge Inc. to discuss items related to the proposed Northern Gateway Pipeline Project. Areas of discussion focused on initiatives of hiring local people for construction opportunities along the pipeline route and identifying training and development opportunities for members of various communities including neighbouring Aboriginal communities.

CPAC is a co-operative joint labour/management group of senior pipeline craft union representatives and officers of the PLCAC. The Council meets to discuss issues that affect the pipeline construction industry and work together to foster better relations with industry stakeholders.
